Privacy policy
The short version
QR Menu has no accounts and no menu database. Menus you build are stored in your own browser (localStorage) and encoded into the links you create. We cannot see, edit or delete your menus — they never reach our servers.
What data flows where
- Menu content— saved in your browser's localStorage on this device and compressed into the share link (the part after
#). URL fragments are not sent to web servers by browsers, so opening a menu link does not transmit the menu to us. - Uploaded logos — converted to a small image inside your browser and embedded in the menu data. They are never uploaded to a server.
- Pro waitlist email — if you join the waitlist, your email is forwarded to our signup inbox (a webhook we operate) solely to notify you about the Pro launch. If that inbox is not configured, the email stays on your device and we receive nothing.
- Analytics — if enabled on the deployed site, we use Plausible, a cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics tool that stores no personal data and needs no consent banner. If it is not enabled, no analytics run at all.
- Server logs — our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard access logs (IP, user agent, requested path — never the URL fragment) for operations and abuse prevention.
Cookies
We set no cookies. localStorage is used only for your own menu draft and, if applicable, your waitlist note.
Your rights (GDPR)
Since menus never reach us, deleting your data is in your hands: clear this site's data in your browser. For waitlist emails, write to hello@qr-menu.app and we will delete your entry. You also have the rights of access, rectification and complaint to a supervisory authority under the GDPR.
