›Is QR Menu really free?
Yes. One menu with unlimited dishes, all seven themes, the QR code PNG and print-ready PDFs are free forever — no account, no credit card. The free menu shows a small 'Made with QR Menu' line; the upcoming Pro plan (€9/month) removes it and adds multiple menus, a custom domain and scan analytics.
›How can it work without an account or uploads?
Your whole menu is compressed and encoded into the link itself (the part after the #). When a guest scans your QR code, their phone decodes and renders the menu instantly — there is no database, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to leak.
›How do I update prices after printing the QR code?
Your menu is saved in your browser's builder. Edit a price, copy the new link — but note the link changes with the content. Or create a stable short link (Pro preview, currently free) from the builder's share panel: the printed QR then always shows your latest version.
›Does it handle allergens and dietary labels?
Yes — every dish can carry vegan, vegetarian, spicy and gluten-free tags plus the 14 EU-mandated allergens (Regulation 1169/2011), shown as superscript numbers with a legend, the way German and EU menus are expected to declare them.
